So as I was looking through her gallery to see which devs are my favourite, I realized how much I love her boys. UNNNF Scott and Christian and Patchett Gen2, man. They are terribly adorable. It's pretty amazing how far she's gone since joinging dA. Her characters and pictures are pretty and whimsical, and I like that. I guess as far as improvement goes, I wouldn't mind seeing more poses from her, even in just practice sketches. Play with some ~*dynamics*~ maybe.

(ha ha I don't watch South Park, so I promise I am not biased towards Butters.) I actually like her digital work more, because I think the traditional medium she normally use (coloured pencils?) don't seem to give her colour choices justice, and her digital pieces have a bit more pop. What I really like is how happy her work is, but that's a double edge sword. It's not bad to evoke a certain expression, but don't be afraid of darker colour schemes or mood lighting on the subject itself. Tinting a character's skin is what adds ~*atmosphere*~ or something. But! The style is unique and leaves a nice impression. As far as tips for improvement, I think you could benefit from studying cloth, folds, and wrinkles. Just drape a blanket over a chair or something and observe why and where wrinkles form. Wrinkles, man. They kick my ass so bad.

Oh, Krio. HOW U DOING BB? If there is one artist that damn well knows to shade, (with soft airbrush for that matter) it is this little lady right hurr. I mean, and there's the general shade that shows light, right? NO. NOT FOR HER. This shit is FORM SHADING BITCH, which totally just shows off her fantastic muscle anatomy too (Okay obvs, she uses light shadnig, too, but I really just want to show off her form shading first. I think that's what I like most about her art, actually: her airbrushing really gets in there, and she doesn't just stop where the lineart goes. This is the type of quality that makes fantastic paintings. I can't do this, I'm jealous forever, and that's why I stick to flat colours. |: Buh, improvement? Mmm, it kind of looks like you use a gray on a multiply layer to shade, and your technique is gorgeous, but I guess I would like to see you use a dark purple or something with more hue to shade instead of just gray. (But I'm pretty sure you know this, as that second picture is totally not lacking any hue in its shading)

Baaaw Giggles bb. This girl probably has some of the cutest work I've seen in a long time, possibly because of the eyes. It might be the eyes. Also the coloursss! They're always bright and happy and ~*superkawaiidesu*~ and that probably helps a lot in the way of the cute. Uhh, I guess I would suggest playing more with full body anatomy (just drawing small random poses helps. Aim to get the gist, instead of the details) and paying more attention to hands and legs. Use some stock photos for reference! Anyway, it doesn't have anything to do with her art, but she is really an amazing person and so ridiculously selfless. I really think everyone needs to like, at least leave her ten comments of love and sprinkles and rainbows because she is so worth it.

Fff Kippy's art is so professional. I think it's because she has this way with choosing colours that blend really, really well with each other in a way that reminds me of Disney stills. I am also really envious of her poses, which has this weight to them; it's most noticeable in group pictures. I mean, it's just things like remembering to draw the body parts that aren't in the foreground, but those are the little things that make the drawn body in question believable. Buh, critique. I guess I could suggest playing with more colour schemes. Try out extreme saturations, or a limited palette or, what I find to actually be really fun, colour a picture using ONLY the colours of a favourite photo, extracted via eyedropper tool. I think you might have fun with colour challenges. You know, play with mood lighting.

Definitely one of the more unique styles I've chanced upon. Berry's been tuning her watercolour technique quite nicely and it brings something new to look at. The way the colours blend is reeeeally pleasing to the eye, and I am jealous of how she digitally paints. While it hasn't anything to do with her art, I also think her character Rachael is one of the most creative Phantom OC that I've seen in the whole Phandom. Which is saying a lot. I think, if she wanted to improve her skillzzz, she could practice hands and general torso anatomy. Pay attention to palms! You have quite a few bones in there! Also, as a tip I think you should try to stay away from straight (anything that falls between #FFFFFF-#000000) grays in your backgrounds, opting instead for french grays or cool grays.

I know it's kind of weird to compliment someone's lines when it's obviously the pen tool, but that's what I'm going to do for this little lady right here. One thing that always displeased me in the Phandom is when artists left lines just hanging there at one width. That said, I am very pleased with how she thins the lines out as they end. It also looks like that as of late, her facial anatomy has been improving, too. AWESOME. As a critique though, I'm gonna have to recommend you watch how you draw shoulders. You leave them too narrow for the angles you're aspiring towards and you should be seeing more of that arm. Lastly, i highly suggest studying shading a bit more.

While I am on the topic, if you are an artist who use the burn and dodge tools on a big airbrush setting to paint DP characters, this is for you:

A big problem with using the dodge and burn tool is that it gives you the wrong shade. Burn a piece of paper. It will go from an off-white/egg cream to a dark brown to black. This is the general pattern how the burn tool in Photoshop works. Great. Now look at your arm. Your darkest shadows are not black, and lightest skintones don't necessarily hit brown. There's red blood underneath your skin, so there'll most likely be purple undertones. Granted this varies on skintone. The burn tool is a horrible way to learn how to shade. It looks fake.
